True view

Sitting in my garden, watching the sun come up. First its promise in tones of pink and grey. Then that dazzling, blazing orb that bobs above the horizon. And my mind begins to ponder the quirkiness of our accepted phrases 😏. After all, the sun doesn't really "come up" or "go down" does it? I guess those phrases were coined when we actually believed it was the sun that moved across our skies whilst we remained stationary. These days we know it's the other way around.

And yet the phrases remain. And to our perspective, they really do describe what appears to happen. If we didn't trust our amazing scientists and mathematicians in what they have discovered, we would never think anything other than what we see to be true! And yet, despite what appears to be, we know the truth is different.

Perspective is a bit like that. It's what we see from our point of view. It can seem very real and valid to us! But we always need to be open to the possibility that what we see isn't the whole story! Maybe there's more to it... We should always be willing to learn.
