No Blinkers!!

There is a defiant hope in humans that chooses to ignore the sickness and pain and death in this world, in order to cling to the joy and happiness they crave here. They wear blinkers so they will not see. They focus instead on the next moment of pleasure. And that is how they live out their lives.

Until sickness, pain or death finds them. And then they are undone. What they have tried to ignore overwhelms them with its oppressiveness! The joys seem so little in comparison! The very ground beneath them seems to be swept away!

Only one story offers more than the ultimate end of every single life here! Only one delivers more than every promised pleasure here! Jesus is that story. He dealt with what we try to ignore, so that we can have a life where it doesn't exist!! That hope is real! That day is coming! And then we can really live!!! No more blinkers needed!!!
