Do you think that God would have allowed this treatment of his precious son if there had been any other way???
God was not being vindictive here!!
When life was born from him, he told us that disconnection (sin) from him, its source, would lead to pain and death!
He was not kidding!
And it not a "judgement".
It was it's natural path!
The only way to break us free from this trap we'd stepped into, was for God's son, with his immortality, to bond with humanity and its mortality - to experience death itself and smash through to the other side!!
He alone could forge that path!!
And he could not fall into the same trap himself, or all he endured would be for nothing.
There was no other way!!!
And awful as it was - the huge injustice inflicted upon one who did no wrong - he bore it because we could not.
And there was no other hope for us.
"Amazing love! How can it be? That thou my God would die for me!"
