So you know my struggle... My disenchantment with the seeming disconnect in the way we do church compared with what we were called to do in reaching out. It made me reluctant to keep pouring all my energies into our programs when they seemed to be mostly self feeding. But I've had a long rest. A very welcome one. Lots of time to think and soul search. And a message came through today in the church service I watched which seemed to be very pointed at me. It challenged me that my spiritual life was not meant just to be personal - that I should be sharing it in community. So I've decided to be part of our local Livingston church and contribute to their programs. And in order to feel more balance as far as doing something real for those who need it, I've applied to be a part of Orange Sky, an organisation I admire who provide showers and friendship to the homeless in my area. And maybe that's a step in the right direction for me. So grateful for the time that I've had to just stop and rest. Refreshed now and ready to be a part of more... https://orangesky.org.au/
