My goal - to be closer, as we move into a New Year...

Father God,

thankyou for what you gave.

I cannot imagine the pain of watching your son endure what he had to here.

For people who rarely "get it".

But you gave your heart in the greatest gift.

I'll love you forever.

Jesus,

my best friend.

I'll never understand how you did it.

Knowing you could have been out of it at any time - left us to it!

You didn't need to endure.

But you did.

Because you knew it was our only way out.

And you are love.

And that's what love does.

I am deeply yours.

And Spirit of God -

I am nothing good without you.

You fill me with goodness and love and kindness and joy.

You are my constant companion -

giving me courage to face anything.

Because you are with me.

And will never leave.

My God.

My three in one.

Joined at the heart -

in purpose and deepest motive.

I owe you everything.

And my life means most in you.

Hold me forever,

and never let me go.

You are my everything.
