I sit. And I breathe. And I wonder at the way life continues in me with no effort on my part. I am completely sustained by the one who gives that spark of life in the first place! Every breath that I take is a gift from him! Every contraction of my heart. Every neural impulse from my brain. I have very little control over any of it! It's all a gift that carries me, mostly unnoticed! And in all the living things around me, that life force continues to work - sustaining, healing, growing. It's something we cannot reproduce! We can provide elements to help it flourish! And often we introduce detrimental things, that steal that life force away and make it shrivel and die. But we cannot replicate it. It is a gift of God himself - working every day to nourish his creations. And without it we will die. Without him we will die! Every day he keeps us going, both the "good" and "bad" amongst us, blessing us all with the kiss of life - with very little thanks from most of us. Most don't even recognise his existence. But we must make a choice. Because one day, unless we make a deliberate choice to connect to that life source, it will disappear from this dying world, and those without it will be no more. So choose life! Choose to live forever with the life sustainer! It's what he wants for you! It's why he's holding on so long, while terrible things go on here. Choose life!! Choose him.
