It looked innocent enough. It was just a piece of fruit! And very delicious looking! Weird that God had said no to eating it. Why would he do that? How could a piece of fruit hurt anything? And what is it that makes that "no" thing so desirable?
It was just a piece of fruit. It was nothing.... And yet... It was like that piece of fruit was the bottom, corner piece in a carefully formed pyramid in the grocery store. What a cascade of consequences came from such an "innocent" move.
Don't ever be fooled by the thought that something is so very little "wrong" that it really won't cause any harm. If you know it's wrong - don't do it. The consequences may be way beyond what you imagine. It's not worth any momentary pleasure you might find in it.
(I realise this looks like I'm preaching, but it's actually written from a place of experience and regret. Most of what I write are messages for me! I just share them...)
