I can only begin to imagine
the shock and horror -
all of heaven watching their life-giving prince,
as his drained from him.
I can only begin to feel the pain that tore through them
as he endured his!
The most beautiful presence who had ever graced this earth,
innocence itself!
Giving himself as he had!
Suffering so deeply at the hands of those he had come to save!
Even asking his Father to forgive them as he hung there in terrible torment.
What awful spell binding held them there -
unable to turn away from the one they adored, suspended now between heaven and earth.
A bridge, forged in deepest pain.
How can we treat that lightly?
