You can get an almost perfect reflection of surrounding beauty in a body of water. But you know what it takes to get that? Stillness. Stillness of the water. Then the reflection can be crystal clear! To clearly reflect who God really is, we need stillness of our spirit.
The Hebrew root word used in the text "Be still..." means more than being quiet and listening. It means to let go, and stop striving. When we let go of trying to be in control of everything, and just be at peace with the fact that we are God's and secure in him no matter what happens, we will begin to truly reflect his beauty.
