The Gift of You

We had our family Christmas get together yesterday! Usually I like to get some memory snaps, but I was enjoying the socialising and just let it go this year. Time with family and those we hold close is precious. To me, it's the best gift of all when someone you love takes the time to be with you. They are gifting themselves! And that is such a beautiful gift.

Of course that thought led me to another. That gift God gave so many years ago! The one we celebrate at Christmas. He gave himself. Because he loves me. And you. And he wanted the chance to be bonded close again. He loves precious time with every one of us! In the middle of the busyness this season, remember what he was gifting to you. And that what he desires in return, more than anything, is the gift of you.
