Faith...

I know many of us think that "faith" is believing with all your heart that God will supply what you've prayed for, and that God then rewards your faith with that exact answer.

But what if faith is really knowing the essence of God to the point where you trust him implicitly - no matter what his answer is to the prayers you bring to him?

You know his goodness, his kindness, his overwhelming and self-sacrificing love, to the point where you can say with Job "Though he slay me, yet will I trust him."

You know that his first and overriding priority is to bring you, and all who will listen, to a place where he can bring them to life that lasts forever!

And so his answers to your prayers will reflect that. And you bow before his wisdom, knowing that he knows best what to do.

What if that was real "faith"?
