Everything in this life is temporary. Seasons, moments, relationships, successes, failures... We are offered happiness here, moments of pleasure that bring us joy. And it makes us feel good enough that we spend our lives running and searching for that next moment. But it's a cat and laser light game. Momentary satisfactions that quickly pass. We are never truly satisfied.
Only when we have lived a lifetime of these fleeting bursts of happiness, do we realise that that constant state of contentment we crave is not found here. It is found only in a place that never changes. A solid foundational rock in which to anchor your soul. It is found in one who is "... the same yesterday, today and forever" (Heb 13:8). Who "... IS love" (1 Jn 4:8), and can be no other. Who bought us back to give us not just "life" in short wonderful bursts, but "abundant life!" (Jn 10:10) forever life! (Jn3:16). He is the only one who can satisfy the cravings of your soul! ❤️ Everything else fades.
